Ortwein Sign has won first place in the Freestanding Small Sign (0-50 sq. ft) in this year’s Mid-South Sign Association design contest. Ortwein’s entry this year is a monument sign fabricated and designed for Taft Hwy Self Storage in Signal Mountain, TN. This is Ortwein Sign’s third year in a row winning 1st place in a category prize, after winning for Wall Mounted/Channel Letters in 2021, and this is the company’s 5th Mid-South Sign Association Design Contest award overall, including the Mark Pridmore “Excellence in Design” Award for the Greg Wyatt Corvette design in 2021.
“We went with this design because it’s really unique and thanks to the push through acrylic and the LED lighting it really stands out at night,” explains Brian Murphy, the Ortwein Sales representative for the Taft Hwy Self Storage project.
Ortwein Sign has been in business since 1923. After new ownership acquired Ortwein Sign in 2007, and with the addition of a Nashville office in 2016, Ortwein Sign has continued to grow and expand its services out to more and more clients throughout the Southeast.
